February 16-17, 2019

On Saturday, February 16, 2019, I was at home all day. I woke up around 10. After I woke up, I was on YouTube watching Alcorn State University for hours. Next, I took me a nap for about 2 hours. Then, I woke up and watched some more of Alcorn State University. I watched their field show routines and their stand routines. I always imagine myself as being one of them. As I was watching them, I was eating some lemon pepper wings from Wild Wing Station. On Sunday, February 17, 2019, I did the exact same thing. I woke up around 9. After I got up, I watched Alcorn State University for hours. Next, I took me a nap and woke up around 1 in the afternoon. Then, I got up and went on YouTube to watch some more of Alcorn State University. After I got done watching them, I cleaned up my room.

A Lesson Before Dying Chapter 11 Reflection

I feel that Jefferson shouldn't be acting the way he does, such as pretending to be a hog. Him pretending to be a hog makes him look very immature. Him thinking this is not making him feel like a man. He hopes that Grant will leave him alone.

A Lesson Before Dying Chapter 10 Reflection

In this chapter 10 Emma tries to persuade Grant to talk to Jefferson hoping that he will be able to talk and teach him. In my eyes, Grant shouldn't be humiliated. I completely understand how he feels. Despite Emma, she has no one she can turn to.

A Lesson Before Dying Chapter 9 Reflection

This chapter changes your mood and make you really feel for Jefferson and the situation he's in. Jefferson is jail and when they visit him, Jefferson doesn't eat or talk. Grant really doesn't know if he  want to change Jefferson or not. Im still curious to know how he is going to change Jefferson into a man.

A Lesson Before Dying Chapter 8 Reflection

This chapter talks about Grant and when he was in school with an old friend of his named Antoine. I really see how race really effect how they were living back then. As I learn that Grant and Antoine become aware how far African Americans get with education, it never ends. Thid makes me feel bad for the black community back then but also amazing to see that they want to make a change.

A Lesson Before Dying Chapter 7 Reflection

I was confused on how Dr. Morgan was treating the kids. I understand why they didn't have the resources as the white schools, but there should have been more learning then criticizing. They need money, but they don't have to work even more in the field.
